This is a message to all entrepreneurs!
Yes, you can do everything within your business all on your own but it is not necessary.
You registered your business, you made calls to get your communications setup, you looked around for your office or workshop, you came up with your business cards and website.
Lets have a quick look, just for arguments sake. You are a computer person but not a web designer. Yes you can design and develop your site yourself but for what cost?! It may take a good web designer 16 hours to do what it take you days or even weeks to achieve!
Now with all the extra time you spent on your site, someone else could have done it for you and you would have 16 working hours free to spend in more important parts of your business and actually be making money too.
Don’t you think maybe its time for you to step back and stop doing everything yourself and start delegating?!
Productivity and the creativity of your business can also come from your team too.
I totally understand that we all must have a can do attitude and that almost all of us started with a tight budget and that from the onset of our business that we have done everything by ourselves.
Yes, it was the way to do it when we started but it doesn’t mean we have to keep doing everything ourselves forever.
That is how many big companies have been born, simple examples are Google and Microsoft. Bill Gates (founder of Microsoft), Larry Page and Sergey Brin (co-founders of Google) started in much the same way.
They started with great ideas and they put in the hard work until their businesses took off and the necessity arose for them to delegate as the work load increased.
However my point is, we do not need to become that big to step back and let others do things in our business and take actions.
As a matter of fact, many entrepreneurs get stuck doing tasks while they should be delegating to others inside or outside their business. Delegating or outsourcing your work is a fantastic idea.
The fact is, the more you do things in your business, the less productive your business and your team become.
Delegation or outsourcing can become a huge success to your business.
The answer is to hire the kinds of people you can trust to get the job done on their own.
It is important to start delegating your tasks and make sure that the right person is delegated to the right task too.
